Vista 30T Upgrades

Just read through the Sunstar upgrades and was very impressed and thought about kicking this of for us 30T owners. We live in our 30T for several months per year and I have carried out many mods to "improve" things for easier operation and added a bunch of stuff that suits our life style.
Looking forward to sharing ideas and knowledge on what I believe to be Winnebagos BEST RV! There are lots of posts on steering and suspension mods so thought I would try to stick with "house" mods that have worked for us and hope to learn from what others have done.

MCD electric shade on the windscreen, using Winne switches.
Slide in rubbish bin
Larger TV, we have a dining booth, so it's above the dash
Driving lights, factory headlights are pathetic for night driving in the rain!
Modified the Leveling panel to make it easier to see and use.
Slides in pantry cupboards
Spare wheel carrier, with winch.

This is a start, happy to post pix and instructions on anything.

How have you personalized your 30T

Pete

Why limit your mods to a specific brand and then even more by model? Most mods will work on any brand or model. Take a look at some of the other brand forums for good ideas.

I have done a few of the common upgrades; lighted exterior grab handle, a strip of led's above the instrument cluster to improve daytime readability and converting the shore power cord to be removable. I would be interested in your changes to the leveling panel.

The quads of wood are very simple, and the angle makes it real easy to use from the drivers seat without bending over anymore.

Another attempt at send a pix, sorry for my lack of competence! As you can see it is simply two arcs of wood that changes the angle of the panel. Took only minutes and no wires needed extending. Works really well.

30T Mods

So far have changed out interior lights to all LED lights, added a 28" flat screen TV to rear and replaced the couch with recliners as we have the buffet option in our coach.

Would like to add a video control center to attempt to get satellite to the rear TV-anyone done this? Also our 2012 doesn't have a gravity fill for the water tank and would like to add that-anyone done that? Need to add a shut-off for the overflow to stop the bleeding off of 1/3 to 1/2 tank of water while traveling.

Pete I have seen your comments on extending the overflow upward but our overflow is under the rear slide so not sure I can do that and not interfere with the slide operation.

Jazzerjump's post reminded me that I also revised the buffet table. I removed the fixed buffet table and replaced it with a hinged/folding table . It is much easier to walk the aisle when traveling. When the slides are extended and the new table folded down, we have a very comfortable living area (we only use the two folding chairs and they are stored behind the driver's seat when not in use).

Jazzerjump, maybe you can run the overflow along the side until past the slide, then do the up and down loop.
