Hello all... We are almost ready to purchase a 2006 Suncruiser 38J. Are there any pros or cons you can help me with?

We love our 2007 38J. Go for it!

We had quite a few initial quality issues but yours should have all been taken care of. We have lived in ours and driven coast to coast with no problems. One thing to watch for is Workhorse has a cool air induction kit to blow air on the spark plugs and wires. You may need this if your motor develops a miss. Otherwise it holds up just fine!

He have a 2006 38J and LOVE IT !!!!!!

We really think this was just about the best floor plan Winnebago came out with in a gaser.

The only problems he had were a problem with the drivers side slide hydraulics (repaired by Winnebago and HWH at no charge) and the refrigerator. Have had 3 control boards replaced (repaired by Winnebago at no cost even after warrenty period expired).

We have a 2006 38J Adventurer and also love the floor plan.

Lots of small problems since new, but all taken care of by Winnebago and HWH. Winnebago has also covered a problem that occured due to wind damage past the warrenty period.

We have a 2005 Voyage 38J and when were looking to trade our 2000 Adventurer we looked at many other models. When we entered the 38J, my husband said he was done looking, this was IT! We have had many new motorhomes and this plan was the best.

I did a short test drive of the Suncruiser. It seemed to have plenty of power and it handled well on the highway.

How is it pulling a toad? We are thinking a Liberty or Vue. We are also thinking about going out west into the Rockies. I don't care about setting any speed records in the mountains. Do any of you have any experience driving a 38J in the mountains?

We drove our 38j in the mountains pulling a toad and a couple of times pulling a four horse trailer loaded. It did great!

I tow a Suzuki Grand Vitara everywhere we go and have been across the Rockies several times. It does fine. The Allison transmission is great! We keep up with most rigs and don't have any problems with overheating, etc.

We like ours a lot, Especially the floor plan. Have had no serious trouble other than a jack problem eventually traced to a faulty valve now replaced. Tows our Chevy Tracker just fine.

Don't forget a good tow package. I purchased a Roadmaster with the Tow Defender. It works great. Also the brake system I have is activated by the power cord. I can be hooked up in about 5 minutes. A fantastic system.

Thanks for the reminder Finhawk. I haven't started to look at the towing equipment that I will use. I will take a look at the Roadmaster. I think I have also seen posts where Blue Ox is discussed. Can anyone else shed light on a good, simple and safe towing system.

I use a brake buddy. I bought it used and have the breakaway system too. It takes maby 10 minutes to set up and stows away in the MH compartment. It works well as I can feel the toad braking when I aggressivly apply the MH brakes plus I have the visual sight from the reciever mounted in the MH. The only downside is that it you are on the road for several days you might need to charge the toad battery as the brake buddy air compressor works off of the toad battery.
