Slide motor gear lost teeth 2012 Sightseer
We have a 2012 Sightseer 30A, and have lost the 24 tooth gear on the rear motor of the large slide for the 3rd time. This time we lost 4 teeth. Anyone able to say what might be going on?

What system do you have?

From my research they are one in the same (Lippert / Power Gear)?
I have the same slide as you. What's the symptoms (assuming that you're looking at the gear missing teeth)? I have a slide motor that seems to not want to cooperate most times. It works but with assistance (both in and out) and while we've been dealing with it as needed it's getting worse. I've yet to get under to see what access I have to the motor/gears, etc. It's not something that makes me comfortable to work with so I've not tried.

Lippert bought them all out. Here is a place in there website that may help you. I think you should call there tech support. https://www.lci1.com/support-kwikee-slide-out-system

I might be helpful if you posted some pictures of the system and failed parts. I have repaired my slides on my 07 Voyage equipped with Kwikee Digi Sync but it sounds like your system is different. I want to help but need to see what you have.

Slide gear/motor
Had motors and gear racks for large slide replaced under warranty. Was told design of system was faulty - motors were too small for weight of slide.

This kind of information is useless if you don't tell us what Model and Year Coach you have. The idea here is to be helpful to others that may have a similar problem. The manufacturer of the slide mechanism would clearly also be helpful.
Thank you

I learned the hard way to pay very close attention when leveling. Matter of fact, the leveling system was not at zero from the dealership. That thirty-foot long slide in our 2014 Suncruiser didn't like that at all. We had the upgraded slide system installed last September and it was still groaning and squeaking until I got the leveling properly zeroed. Live and learn
