Removing Engine Cover on 2016 Sunstar LX27N

I was just curious to look at the engine from above, so I referred to the owners manual and it referenced some holes for a hex wrench to fit into. I've looked three times for these holes and come up empty, there are no holes in my engine cover. Does it come off? And if so, how?

check on the three sides of the carpeted doghouse cover where it meets the floor. you should find one or more flaps of carpeting which when lifted will reveal the hex key hole.

rk911, thanks, but no flaps, but I did find an access hole at the back , but way off center from where I was looking before (according to the manual). Turning the latch there allows the doghouse to slide to the rear.

The purpose of all of this is I'm trying to locate the entry hole that mice are getting in. On my old MH, they had chewed the rubber gasket on the doghouse, but this one looks great. Getting in somewhere else I guess.
