Exactly. It's just extra weight once the heavy CRT TV is gone. I've removed two of them. In my '04 Adventurer and my Mom's '01. I forget which one, but one required some cutting, and the other just unbolted. It's nice to gain the view out the windshield as the flat screen hangs down less than the old TV and it's housing.
