Narrow isle-modify couch

Have 2016 Sunova 33c-with slides in has very narrow walkway. Anyone ever modify the couch?

Do you have the Rest-Easy Sofa? I know that some folks have replaced that sofa to gain 8" with the slides in.

Wow-really!? That would be like a bowling alley compared to what I have with the rest-easy sofa. Do you know what they used?

I don't know specifically what they used - there are tons of RV Sofa's available online. The tough part is getting one the same color as the sofa you're replacing.

I do know that other members were eager to purchase the EasyRest sofa once it was removed.

Search for: Flexsteel RV sofa 60 x 75 (at lease that's the size of my EasyRest sofa)

When we first got our Adventurer we went down this road. But after living with the EzR sofa for 6-months. We like it and have gotten used to the small space when the slides are all in for driving.

Check out this one:

On my Rest Easy sofa, it's inward position was set by some stops welded on the tracks the bottom cushion rides on/in. I removed the stops so we could get the back of the couch a bit more upright. The bottom will come in about 2" more now. Of course that doesn't move the arms, or the pull out ottoman, but it may buy you a little more room.

Take a look behind your RestEasy sofa. You'll see an 8" space back there. Without it the sofa can't recline because the back of the sofa is so tall. That's what you would gain if you replaced the RE Sofa.

Thanks-looking at all options-I have to ride out the winter in Idaho at home so getting a plan together. We picked it up and parked it a month ago.

Figured a way to move sofa back 2" and gain a little more aisle way. Go to post " 2016 Sunova 33c Rest Easy sofa modification " for a write up-I'm not good at this forum and computer stuff and didn't want to write it twice. BMcD
