I'm in the process of waxing my new Winnebago Sightseer 29R and I noticed two brackets located near the top of the MH and just in front of each of my two slide outs. Nothing is attached to either of the brackets. The brackets appear to be made from aluminum extrusions and have an extruded slot.

I suspect the brackets may have something to do with the slide outs but their function isn't clear. I'm wondering if they are used in installing the slide outs or perhaps for maintenance.

Does anyone know their function?

Do you have slide toppers on your Moho? If not then these brackets could have something to do with them. ????

Yes, I have slide toppers. The brackets are tucked in, underneath the slide toppers but not attached.

JD - I'm betting your slideouts are extended. When you bring them in and the topper rolls up their function will be revealed. The small arm at the end of the topper rotates as the topper comes in. When it's almost all the way in, the arm contacts those brackets and causes the roller to lock.

At least that's my guess after looking at the topper install manual. You should have one in your "big black bag".

The slides are in, not out. I'll look in my big black bag and see what it says.

We are going camping week after next. I might have my wife push the button so I can watch to see if anything contacts the brackets.

I'm glad you asked the question because I also have a SightSeer 29R and I've noticed the same brackets. I can't figure out what they are for either!
