Looking to buy a 2016 Winnebago Itasca Ellipse
We are looking at the 2016 Ellipse as a replacement to our 2010 Tour42AD. Any reason why we shouldn't? What should we pay particular attention to?
We love our Tour and simply looking at something a little newer.
Any advise would be appreciated.

We have a 2015 and have had no issues with the Winnebago build. We have had component issues. Aqua Hot pumps have been replaced two times. HWH level system will not stay steady. Rocks after a few hours. But, all in all we love it!! We live and travel full time and love the floor plan.

We have a 2015 Ellipse and it is a great coach. It took a year to get the bugs out because of poor service where I live but after that everything is good. The issues I've had were 3rd party items not Winnebago build issues. 2 of the Aqua hot motors are acting up but they sent me 4 new motors to replace all of them, and they are paying the labor. Can't complain about that.

We have the 2014 Ellipse QD. It's a solid coach with a lot of bang for the buck in it's class. Smooth ride and handling, a well built rig.

We have replaced a couple of aquahot pumps as well. The only build issues we had with our tour involved the front of the coach. Lots of stuff glued to the fiberglass. Most of it all came loose. Headlight mounts, generator cover stop brackets and the generator front cover from the frame. Otherwise the coach has been great.

We have the 2015 Ellipse 42HD and absolutely love it. There have been problems of course but there isn't a floor plan we like better in ANY MH. The slide issues we had were based on the fact that we weren't running the engine on full power when extending or retracting. With the amps needed just turning the engine battery on wasn't enough. Everything works great now. I feel the other issues were our ignorance and also the fact that these coaches sit outside in the elements before we purchase them. In Texas that means HEAT! Things will unglue and separate so after a year we are pretty pleased with the repairs and replacements the dealer gave us. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours.

Here are a few pictures of our new Tour 42QD. The inside ones were taken at night the day we got it. Need to take some better ones this spring.

Very nice! We really enjoy the sister-ship Ellipse. Hope they showed you that the 3-drawer cabinet on the left side of the stove extends ...
Safe, and fun, travels ...

Hijacker
Sorry for hijacking this morning but we too are looking at buying a new used 2016 Ellipse 42HD. We are planning on becoming full-time workers in the next couple weeks. I am hoping you guys can take a look at the info and make sure I'm paying a good price. Here is a link to it at camping world as well. I am thinking around $275k.

Sorry for the short post, in a rush. I anxiously await any feedback you may have.

Looks like a good price to me. We paid a bit more for ours. :-( This coach is loaded so there's not much need to add anything else. The floor plan is what sold us and that BIG window. Just love it. There will be things to work on the first year but it is such a comfortable, easy living coach it's all worth it. Enjoy!

We just bought our 2016 Tour from CW Tallahassee. We paid a little more for ours. Good folks there. My trade 2010 Tour is there with a deal pending.
Be sure to check everything and I would recommend you stay there until it as all gets fixed. We didn't and our local dealer is giving us the run around because we didn't buy it from them.

To follow up on last weeks post, we decided to go ahead and purchase the Ellipse. Financing was a challenge even though we were putting almost half down due to my wife being a small business owner and the associated issues with that. I will be picking it up in the middle of next week after I ensure they have fixed some of the issues I found on it. The most worrying was a very loud wind noise above 50mph on the top left of the drivers side head. Aside from the things I have been looking at, is there any thing in particular I should look for? Once again it is a 2016 Ellipse 42HD.
