I found a link to an exploded view of our headlight assembly here;

We've only had to change light bulbs so far. Sorry I could'nt be of more help.

Somewhere in this forum is a thread (about a year ago), where the guy had to "unhinge" the front cap from the bottom to replace the headlamp assy. I think he replaced the OEM assy's with those really bright assys (European HID) I think. He posted pictures of the procedure.

It can be done, have faith..
But it requires 2 Advil, and a stiff pillow because you're gonna be on the ground awhile. What kept me coming back was neck fatigue until I got the pillow. If you are replacing a bulb only, there is only one way to get it out. It's very tight and you have to Jocky's it back and forth to solve the puzzle. And REMEMBER the moves because that's the ONLY way it's going back in.

Not to sway the thread, does anyone know what car the entire headlight on a 2006 Meridian came from ?

If I remember correctly it's a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am....and it seems like the only year with no aftermarket hid's or projector replacement :0 (

I put LED's in our rig. Had to drill out the back of the cover for the heat sink and fan then secure a transformer to the headlight assembly. Haven't been out yet to test it but it's got to be better than the OEM.

I have an 04 journey as well and was wondering what car the headlight assembly came out of. Mine need adjusting and I'd like to see if I can get some hids in.

Take some time to search the internet for ID of your headlamps. For instance, I finally found mine here, they are from a 1992-97 Ford Crown Victoria.

In addition to a pillow, a cervical collar and creeper really helps me when working overhead.

I am not as young as I once was.
