Extend a stay propane kit Questions

Can anyone give some advice on which model will work on a vista 27n. We only want to connect to increase capacity. There seams to be several options. I am concerned about runing out of room on the connection side.

Thanks
Darryl

Darryl-

Many of us who have installed Extend-a-Stay-type tees have found that the regulator has room to move to accommodate the tee. Sometimes, you have to add an extension to the regulator support to attach the plastic regulator cover, with the regulator in its new position. Here is a link that shows an installation and an extension. At the bottom of that page is a video of that fellow's installation.

For our coach, adding the Camco tee (link here) moved the regulator 6 inches to the right. I fabricated an extension about a foot long, made of 1/8-inch black ABS, as in the video. It worked out well.

Look at your coach's tank and regulator and see if you have the room.

I installed Extend-A-Stay on my 27N. Just moved over the regulator and the cover, drilling a new hole for the regulator cover mount. I bought a brass 90 at a home center and put it at the end of the regulator to make the existing flex hose still work after moving the regulator over. I put strips of duct tape under part of the cover that was open after moving it over to keep the regulator from getting dusted and sprayed going down the road.
