Engine keep running

After turning my ignition switch off the engine continues to run. There was a time when ignition switch began working again, but now. The gauges on the dash continue to work even though the switch is off and the engine keeps running. To stop the engine I pull a relay in the fuse box below the driver excessable from the outside. Has anyone had this problem with their 04 Vectra?

The fuel shut-off solenoid is powered one way, when you start the engine the plunger in the solenoid pulls in opening the fuel flow. If your fuel shut-off solenoid was bad pulling the relay wouldn’t shut it down, so my bet is you either have a bad ignition switch or a bad relay. Try replacing the relay you are pulling to shut it off first.
