We spent the night in the Tour and slept like rocks. It is soft, but we found it to be very comfortable.

Thanks Kevin. Mine is on order and I will let everyone know how we like it.

The funny part is that I still get into bed like it will be low and I'll need to hit that refill button. Old habits die hard.

Ellipse 42 QD mattress change

Maybe I missed the model, is it one of these listed?

Sorry for the late question. Mine is a king adjustable that is uncomfortable but not broken, yet.

Mattress Insider is another vendor for RV mattresses. In fact there is a write-up on them in the Vendor Spotlight category written by DriVer.

I just purchased their 8 inch Luxury Cool-Max Foam RV Mattress II. I should have it this Friday.

I am replacing the original 13 year old 8 inch rounded corner coil spring Queen 60x80 with the Cool-Max.

I hope it is a vast improvement over what I have been using for the past 10.5 years.

They also have the 100 day warranty but they don't require you to send the mattress back for the refund.

I bought the third one down on the list, the 8" Memory Foam RV Mattress for $749 including shipping. We've spent a couple of nights in the Tour a couple of nights this week and like it. Tomorrow, we're heading out for a week.

Dr4Film, someone on rv.net also posted similar mattresses on Amazon for less money. They were 12" thick and might not be flexible enough for the way our 42QD retract.

Now have the 8 inch latex mattress from plushbeds.com installed. We love it! So much more comfortable than the bed the Ellipse came with. Getting the old mattress out was easy once it was completely deflated. The new mattress fits perfectly and the bed slides up much more easily than before. I highly recommend this mattress. Thanks to all who participated in this thread.
