E-brake light won't go out

My 2003 adventurer dash brake light switch went thru a meltdown. I replaced the switch at the e-brake pedal and now the HWH system is working, but the light is still on. I unplugged the switch, it's still on. I unplugged the master cylinder switch, still on. Brake fluid us full and the braking system, uncluding the e-brake, is working as it should.
