Has anyone had any experience installing the flip-up counter extension next to the sink on a 2005 Adventurer 38j?

This item was not included on the 2005 model, but was on the 2006.

Been thinking of the same thing for my 04 Vectra. Is that extension from WGO only , how
much? Can you get something similiar from Home
Depot or Lowes? Understand the tops matching might be problem.

Have not called WGO yet. Just wondering if anybody else has done it.

I bet winnie had one as an option. If so, they can probably match your counter material. I would definately ask them first. The mounting shouldn't be too difficult based on observation on my unit and other coaches I have seen.

The whole flip up is shown as one part number in the manual:

141784-10-02A EA COUNTERTOP EXTENSION - 1/4"VENDURA - ALMONDINE

I'm sure Lichtsinn or Winnebago Parts can give you a price.

Winnebago themsleves can e-mail you the drawings of the sink cabinet. There may some reinforcements added in 2006 for the flip up. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to duplicate what they did, if they did anything.

We did ours shortly after we purchased the coach. Found a counter top at the Surplus store in Forest City, purchased the required hinges and put it in. Did have to reenforce behind the side paneling. Think the whole project was less than %50.00 (been a couple of years).
It is nice to have, however after installing, we have used it less than dozen times. However knowing it is there and being able to use it when needed, made it worthwhile.

%50.00 should read $50.00

I had the dealer add the sink counter extension on my '05 as part of the deal. Of course they said it was worth several hundred $$$.
