Bypass for Bed Slide

We are out on trip 2 with our 2015 Meridian 42e and as I type this I’m trying to lay in this bed after we had to pull in the slide due to bad winds. The wall slide on the other side is ok as the wind is moreso hitting just this side of the rig. So here we are with this bed that has to be moved up and down and find that once the slide is in, we can’t let the bed out again even though the wall slide is out and there’s plenty of room. We are wondering if there is a manual bypass of some sort for this very circumstance.
Thank you!
Holly

Holly,
If you can get under the bed, there are two microswitches (my 2013 were yellow wires) that you can unplug and connect the wires together to bypass the interlock. I used an automotive spade fuse to insert into the connections on the wires to form the bypass. There were two microswitches.

Mine was having issues and breaking the microswitches, so the bypass is a permanent configuration with mine. I just have to remember to raise the bed before bringing in the slides. Should be easy to remember right? At the rally I brought in the bedroom slide first with the bed down, and forgot to raise it before bringing in the full wall slide and the bed pushed the closet doors off the track before I stopped, so for old guys, not so easy.
