A&E Power Awning Problems

Okay, I like my power awning for the convenience of extending and retracting but don't like what it does in even a mild breeze or gust. The whole assembly seems to lift and if I pull the arms down and tighten knobs for a lower angle it will slip out of the the lower adjustment and go flying up to the higher angle. I've tightened the knobs really tight but any small gust will set it off again. Anyone else have this and what did you do? Thanks-BMcD

Generally I pull mine in if winds are to be over 12 mph. However I do have and use a tie down kit (available from most RV suppliers) when I am set up for an extended period. But for best peace of mid I roll it up when it gets too breezy- especially if I see a big wind storm headed our way.

I'm kinda careful about over tightening the knobs as I had them strip out on another rig we had.
