36M 2012 Journey Big Pass side inoperable
Slide would not go out took to dealer and it worked. I used it 6 more times and not I am in UP in Michigan and will not go out again. Anybody got any ideas ?

You might try hand cranking it a few inches, and then see if it will continue with power. Could be a dead spot in the motor, or a wacky limit switch.

Is this an HWH hydraulic system?
If it's hydraulic.......
does the pump run?
if you have other slides do they work?
My crystal ball isn't working so well...............need some more info to try to help you out

Yours may be different, but I had a similar problem with my 2010 model. The largest of my three slides failed to work one night, when parked at the dealer. (lucky you would think) I tried it many times over an hour, it finally worked. Next day the dealer tried it several times, worked every time.
Drove back to home RV Park, slide would not go out. Tried many times over three days, it finally worked. Two months later, needed to return to the dealer for warranty work, slide would not retract. Dead, no lights, no motion. Learned how to manually retract slide, wasn't that tough at all, glad for the learning experience.
Dealer searched and searched for the cause, finally found a loose connector with wires going to one of the electric motors. (was located under the drawer, under the refrigerator) re-snapped the connector, slide has worked fine for the last 18 months.

There is a reset button under the switch plate in the one place panel, you might try that.
Also, your manual describes LED faults codes, if you are getting any, and how to bring slide in, in manual mode.

Thanks all fault code is 5 (loose wire - where would that reset button be ?

The reset button is on the keypad behind the wall plate. Remove the 2 screws and look for the button as indicated in fig 2.
It is refered to as Set Stops/Clear Faults button.

This means no signal on the sensor wire on motor number 1, this is a major fault and must be cleared using the reset button.
I would email Powergear and ask them which rail contains motor number 1.

Fixed
Called the wonderful Winnbago helpline when the opened - they got the resident power gear guy on the phone with me -
Apparently not enough voltage when the slide tried to go out.
The had me turn of chassis battery switch - wait 10 seconds then turn switch back on
Start motor home
Had me check the chassis voltage - they said 13.9 was good
Pressed the button and it went out
They said there is a fix to this problem check with your dealer
Important to have engine on when putting out slides.

I had similar issue and did the chassis battery disconnect to reset.
One of the issues is the grid heaters on the engine cycling on/off cause low voltage unless you start engine and let idle for several minutes before you try to run the slides.

Must be why sometimes when I start engine I get low voltage warning on dash, Doesn't happen all the time.
I always have engine running when operating slides and jacks.
Different subject, check your engine cover. Hinges came off a friends Meridian 36M when he went to check oil. My louver assembly came unglued from frame on passenger side. Have it duct taped till I get to dealer.

Because my rig is a DP, running the main engine at many sites kicks up a lot of dust. (Why can't they all have concrete pads? Ugrrr).
My solution is to either plug in or run the genny so that the charger supplies adequate voltage while leveling and putting out the slides.

The slides/jacks run off the Chassis batteries. The charger/converter powers the House batteries. You would need to hit the Battery Boost button to get shore power to the slides/jacks.

Yes, it looks like the slide motors are run by the chassis batteries, the manual says so, it appears so.
But . . . when I extend or retract my slides, when hooked up to shore power, all seems to work without a hitch. But when doing the same operation, with no shore or generator power, engine running, sometimes I get a low voltage warning light. I rev the engine a little, and continue the operation.
I know it doesn't make sense, should be independent, but I must say, it seems to work better when hooked to shore power.

There is one more item at play. When you first start the engine the intake heater (may not be the proper name) loads down the battery for the first 30 seconds to 1 minute or so. This will cause the low battery warning on the dash as well as possibly the slide control.
Wait till the dash batery gauge returns to 14V, then hit the slides.
Man! these things are complicated & appearantly designed by Rube Goldburg.

On my coach, the inverter/charger maintains the chassis battery also. Not on a continuous basis, but when it lowers to a preset level. I believe it senses when the slides/jacks are operating and provides power to the chassis batteries.
I will have to check display when we leave tomorrow.

I checked when we closed up. My inverter/charger increases the chassis batteries from 12.6 to 13.6 when the slides are operated.
Same when I set up jacks and slides.
