2015 Winnebago Tour 42QD clean the back side of the fireplace glass?
Does anyone know how to clean the back side of the fireplace glass?
Do I have to pull the panel trim off to get to the fixture(s)?

Hi Wayne,
This video seems to be about what you need to do.
Good luck; Eagle5

Thank you. I wish I had that false front with Velcro. My panel is all wood with wood molding around the fireplace frame. I'm going to assume that I will have to remove that molding to get to the screws holding it in. I was hoping someone with a Tour 42qd would pipe in. My clumsiness will probably break a molding, then I'll have mismatched molding after I have to replace it. DW is not going to like that.
I think I'll invite a carpenter friend to lend a hand. Much easier to blame him and let DW be NOT mad at me.
I found a brochure with a picture (MH in storage)

Real old thread but I still have not cleaned the back side of the glass. Can't connect with my friend the carpenter and still not confident in doing it myself.
Anyone with a 2015 Tour done this.
Eagle5 - Video was for a 5'er and does nor match my system. Wish it were velcro stuck. No guts to just pull hard on it.,

I might suspect you have looked for info on cleaning?
So maybe a second idea is a try!
Do you have any info in the book sack of stuff or any labels that might let you ID the brand and model? With the brand one might luck into an online sales or repair manual?
I'm thinking it is a mater offinding how to loosen the front panel of the fireplace itself rather than remove the wood, but that is really shakey info!!!
Any rattle or movement to the front panel that might let you lift or unhook it from some hidden latch?

Company is Twinstarhome.com
Models are 18EF23, 23EF023, 25EF023, 26EF023
Mine measures 26 inches across the front so my assumption is that it is the 26EF023, plus the remote looks like those models in the manual.
I've searched and searched. I'm going to call Winnebago again. Might get a different advisor.

Hi Wayne,
For the 26EF023GRG:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/81...6ef023grg.html
pages 5 & 6 describe the removal of the front glass by the removal of two screws.
I believe you will need to remove the surrounding trim to get at the screws.

Looking at manuals is not getting anything good, however, have you found this contact number for customer service?

Link did not work.
Yes, the removal of the trim is my downfall. DW would not like a bad looking trim.
I don't have a problem with the fireplace removal or front face...just need to know someone who has done the work removing and replacing the trim.
Thanks.

Looking at the manual Eagle5 has found, it seems to show something just too simple?
Stars are not aligned just right? Wrong book, changed design, something missing, somewhere?

Richard, yes I did find the number to the MFG but the problem lies with Winnebago in properly removing the trim without destroying anything.
Removing the glass is fairly simple. Lay it on it's back, remove screws, lift glass off, clean and reverse process. Haven't looked at the manual but WAG'ing it,
Last time I called Winnebago they said remove the screws on the front,...but nothing about the trim,
Late here in Eastern Time Zone,..finished for the night,
