Just about busted a gut this afternoon trying to remove the inside engine cover in our Sunova 34A. I found the hex socket and used the supplied wrench to unlatch the rear but for the life of me couldn't get the front to budge. Anyone know the answer to the puzzle?

Hello RVJeeper, If I remember right, you unlatch the rear of the cover, then lift the rear slightly, then pull cover towards the rear of coach and lift off. I hope this is correct and that it works for you. Regards, Jerry

I had the same problem in my WFD29R Sightseer. I found 2 long sheetmetal screws holding the front down (1 screw on each side, near the floor). And 1 of the screws was screwed into the heater hose causing a very slow leak of coolant. The screw heads were imbedded into the carpet and were very difficult to find. I threw them out and just use the latch to hold the doghouse on. It works fine without the screws. I am 99.9% sure this is what's holding your doghouse on.

Just thought I'd add this: Go under your coach and look up to where the doghouse sits on the floor and look for screws sticking through the metal that sticks up through the opening ie., where the gasket mounts

ChasA - Your 99.9% about the screws was 100% right! I lifted the bottom front corners of the carpet and found the 2 screws. Once I took them out the cover removed easily. Thanks so much for your help... and to everyone who responded.

was reading the manual on our new 2008 Sightseer last night and it now mentions those screws and how to find them. Bet they had a lot of questions ob this, thus the addition,

Glad to see they at least made the addition to the new books, since there was absolutely no mention of the screws in my 2005 manual. If it wasn't for this forum I'd still be stumped!
