2003 Adventureer 38G what do you guys think on price, something wrong with it???

This RVs has been at the PPL lot for 5 months, someone on the forum has run the VIN, and all the recalls have been done.

Talking to the manager, tires are 4 years old, because its on consignment, I don't know if everything works, but on the sellers disclosure, nothing major mentioned, just some rock chips, and the carpet where the slide comes in is loose/worn

Assuming everything is operational, is this thing priced to low, just trying to see if this is a too good to be true deal, Low Retail is $41,000, listed for $31,350.

The RV has been on the lot since Aug, according to the disclosure inspection

Reason for being sold "health" was annotated.

2003 Winnebago Adventurer 38G for Sale - A131CL - PPL Motor Homes

Workhorse Chassis 43,000 miles
Onan 5.5 96 hours

I am trying to find a couple more rigs to look at in the Dallas/Ft Worth area to justify a trip there.

Any guidance on this RV would be appreciated

I am not too cheap to pay for the PPI of $390

Do people usually pay for an inspection, before looking at an RV?

I have an 35 foot 06 Itasca on the 22K lb WH chassis. When fully loaded for snowbirding, I'm pushing the 22K limit. The 38G may also be on the 22K chassis (I don't think the 24K chassis was available in 03). You could be overload if you pack for extended travel.

Thanks for the info, is that weight including your toad?

I never thought about the weight, although, I am far from doing any long term RVing, well at least 10 yrs, and then it will probably be time for an upgrade.

Look at it age is not a problem, judge every motor individually.Just bought an 03 Sightseer been setting for 4 years, no leaks every thing works. While looking looked at a 08 sightseer in NC at a camping world, sales man said was in great condition. It was junk, leak in roof, cracked windshield, kitchen counter shot. Look at it, if you buy change all fluids.

That's the weight of the MH only. The weight with the toad on its dolly is 25,800 lbs against a GCWR 26K.

We have a 2003 38G on the Ford chassis. We bought it based on the floor plan which is very livable. It is a fair price. Make sure the generator works. It doesn't have many hours on it and may have a gummed up carbuetor. We payed $42,500 for ours 4 years ago.

Hate to always bring up the constant reminder of... check that windshield frame for rust and leaks! Since you've been a member here for some time, you probably already know to look past the reveal molding and look for rust and rotted frames. -RT
