2002 Brave TV replacement

I just changed out the old tv for a 32 led. Got the tv mounted and working no problem but the factory speakers in the walls are very very quiet, you can hardly hear them. What can I do to get them working so that I can hear them. They did work with the old tv. Any help would be great. Thanks

I don't have the answer but I am fighting the same problem on my Itasca Suncruiser. The speakers worked on the old TV but I can't get any sound from the new TV to come out the external speakers. Are you running them off the headphone jack or the audio feed. I have checked the speaker switch(radio/TV) & made sure the house battery is selected as the power source. Does your system have the "Amp 3" box on the line coming from the TV?
Iwish I had the answer for you,but I have't been successful yet. I'm anxious to hear from the Forum members & if I figure out my problem,I'll pass it along to you. Please do the same.........Bill in Lenexa,KS.

I am using the head phone jack. Looks like I might need an amp for the coach speakers. Still trying to figure something out. If I get it working I will let you know

My old tv used a headphone jack connection but there was an amplifier box that powered the coach speakers. Do you have this?
If you do, does your new tv have a setting to use "external" speaker on/off. My new tv did not and I could never get the house speakers powered.

The Samsung LED TV I installed wouldn't work through the Winnebago surround sound until I wired an impedence converter directly to the speakers. Now it works great.

Here is a picture of the splice I made to the TV speakers. The converter I used is a Boss audio systems B65N.

Well for what it's worth, I kept the original Winny DVD player AND all its wires. Plugging the LED TV aux sound out through the DVD player. The coach sound speakers work great, but you have to remember to switch the speakers on the dash switch!

The old tv did use a head phone jack going to 2 wires. The jack looks different than a normal head phone one. I did change to a regular head phone jack and that is when I got a little sound out of the coach speakers. If the motorhome has an amp for the speakers I have know idea where it is. There is no speaker switches that I have seen.

Well we have a rocker switch on our dash to turn on the overhead speakers. Guess you do not have that feature😁. An maybe the DVD player is my amp for the sound system. Sorry thought you just might be similar.

The plug on the right is the one that was in the motorhome for the speakers. The plug on the left is a normal head phone jack. It look like they added a plig to the factory tv to feed the two wires for the speakers. I am going to take the back off the old tv in the morning and look.

If you take a look at this thread Front LCD TV install in 2005 Vectra (Long) you can see how I soldered the sound system leads directly to the speakers on my new TV (just as Winnebago had done with my original Sony tube TV). This may be necessary if your new TV doesn't have a variable audio output jack.

Thanks for the info, but I only have two wires. Would that go to both speakers? I have followed the wires going to the right side from the tv then can not see where they go. The factory plug only had one black ring on it when the normal jack has two black rings like to feed two speakers. I have not figured out to add a picture yet.

Behind the TV is the 12-inch Sub-Woofer and shown is the TV Swing - Tilt mount fastened with studs and lock nuts to a 2"x6" board that is bolted to the existing metal side plate.
TV is not going anywhere and I have 8,500 miles on the system to prove it. TV uses Bungee cords to keep swing mount in place and a nylon travel strap buckled around it while traveling. Rides nice and quiet. Did I mention the original 32" TV weighed 87lbs and the replacement LED weighs 8.5 lbs?
