2001 Adventurer 35 AC blowing warm

AC was working suddenly today it's 88 degrees and very humid, starts blowing warmish air? What should I check, can I access the coils ? Or recharge the gas?

Are you referring to the house, basement AC or the chassis AC?

The service manuals for the basement AC are available online so I suggest you download the one for your model and go through the troubleshooting steps applicable to your symptoms. Jumping to conclusions without going through a step-by-step diagnostic process can lead you astray since there is quite a bit of interaction between the unit, it's control board and thermostat. Since it does blow cold air, I would think that it doesn't need re-charging.

You might need to check your capacitors. I had the same problem in my 2004 Adventurer. The capacitors were fried along with some of the wires. I tried to get a couple of different residential HVAC guys to look at it but they declined. I ended up buying new capacitors and fixed it myself. It's running like New. Cost me about $120 vs $2500 for a new unit. Good luck!

Basement AC blowing warm

Hi, we have a 2003 Journey with the basement air and the only problem I have had was with the thermostat. If your system is like mine, there are two separate compressors in the AC unit and either one or both will run depending on cooling/heating demand. On mine the unit was not cooling sufficiently and I found that the Coleman thermostat was bad and would not call for the second compressor to kick in so cooling was minimal. Also, it may seem minor but check your filter and make sure it's not blocked or dirty.
