2000 Adventurer Doghouse

Our Adventurer only has 18000 miles on it, so I've never really had a reason to access this area. I was curious the other day and started looking at how to get in there?????. I can't find in my owners manuel the procedure. I know someone will come to my aid as you guys haven't failed me yet

Look for a small hole near the floor on the coach end. You use a screwdriver to turn a latch inside. It should turn counterclockwise 90 deg. ...if it's the same as a 2001.

Ah ha. I saw that hole in the carpet and thought it might have something to do with it. Is it a phillips or flathead? Thanks for the help. Be blessed.

We have a'96 and there is a small hole in the carpet and I use an Allen wrench that was with it when purchased.

It's an allen wrench. Mine was with all the manuals and stuff. If not, a standard one should work. It turns 1/4 turn and then the doghouse is easily slid back.

It should be an allen wrench and they usually come with the MH. I had a hell of a time finding mine, they carpeted right over it. Finally had to cut the carpet to find it and then re-glue it down after making a hole for the wrench...and.....it was not in the center but off center by several inches...
