After 6 months of research and 6 weeks of waiting I finally brought home the 2005 36G. Other than the steering wheel being slightly off center the PDI went well and the ride home even better.

The wife and I are going to head to myrtle beach for the shakedown cruise on Sunday for a week. I think it will take me that long to read all the manuals.

First of all, welcome to the forum. You will find a wealth of free information here.
And congrats on your purchase. I'm sure you will enjoy it and if we can help with any issues, please give us a hollow.

JT:

Congrats on the new rig. We love our '02 36G but love that full body paint job on the '05's.

Did you have any problems getting a camping space at Myrtle this time of year? We love Ocean Lakes RV resort.

Have a great time reading those manuals.

JT,

Just a word of advice, especially where your going. There are resorts and parks in the area that don't have up to date electrical services.

Never connect to ANY shore power without a Surge Protection Device in/on line...

Good for you Jim - I'm envious! Glad the PDI went well. Be sure and keep us updated on how things are going with the coach.

3 and 1/2 weeks for us to take delivery, but who's counting

Jim,
Let me add my congratulations too! We're crazy about our 36G - looked at a lot of floorplans and decided this was just about perfect for us.

If little (or big) problems pop up, don't let them spoil your fun. Fix what you can yourself (you'll learn a lot about your coach in the process) and keep a list for the dealer of the other ones. Hopefully, there won't be anything on that list.

I agree with Tomcat - you've got lots of neat electronics on board. Get them protected as soon as possible.

Congratulations on the new Journey. Wish ours had that neat full body paint too.

We love our 36. I think it's the perfect size and floorplan for our use....good luck with the unit, and if you have any questions be sure to post them. With everyone with similiar rigs, I'm sure you'll get lots of help.
