Winter Camping

If Winnebago wants to improve their motorhomes, I would suggest some kind of under floor heating for us who camp most of the year. These tile floors (and carpet in the bedroom) get pretty cold.

I totally agree. Although the floor in our Horizon is warm compared to my old GBM Gasser.

I do put a small heater in the main basement compartment, so the floor above that compartment is not cold, but the rest of the floor is not.

The lp furnace(s) do have an output in the basement to keep water lines from freezing. ...but it definitely doesn't keep the tile floor warm. If I were to get a new rv I would want NO TILE. I want wood, maybe carpet in the bedroom, and might still put a heating grid under the wood.

I will agree with infloor heat. Tile is cold and bedroom carpet is not much warmer.
I would also like to see the thermostats have closer set points. Seems they have two degree differential. This goes two above set point and two below set point for a four degree differential.

I agree with everything said here about rigs being designed for all season use. The problem is that the consumer wants all of the above without an increase in price. Additionally, they also want 25 miles to a gallon of fuel.

Hard to live up to all the desires of consumers who have champagne taste with beer pockets.

The Minnie Towable has the heat duct that runs the length of the unit in the middle of the floor. Makes it nice and toasty on the feet during those cold mornings and it seems to retain the heat reasonably between cycles.

I would rather have creature comforts than "Bling", sunroofs, bigger windows, and less interior storage just because "other manufactures are doing it".

Not the solution for a cold floor but UGG makes some excellent slippers that keep my toes nice and warm.

My Meridian has basement heat on gas. But the floor is still a bit cool

Winnebago did have hydrahot type floor heating on the Ultimate Freedom, along with many other high end features and build quality. The price range for the UF was apx twice that of the Journey/Horizon coaches of the time.

Propane heat in my 2001 Adventurer 35U keeps my floors nice and warm even when its below freezing out. Possibly another reason to stick with what I have.

I would bet the farm that you do not have ceramic tile floors ...they are quite chilly in the winter w/o a direct floor heating system.
