Winnebago Adventurer Battery Disconnect Question

Hi Folks
First post. We just purchased an '03 Winnebago Adventurer and I have a question. Under the entry step where the batteries are located there are 2 red handle rotary switches. Someone labeled them "coach" and "camper" on the door that covers them. I initially thought they were disconnect switches for the coach and the chassis batteries but when I turn them - nothing... Does anyone know what these switches are? Thanks.

When you say nothing happens, what is your power supply? Are you on shore (campground) power? Or, are you working off the batteries. Those are definitely your battery disconnects. One is for your chassis batteries, the other is for your coach. If you place yourself on battery power only, and turn those switches to the disconnect positions, you will have NO power to the coach.

I agree with f14av8r 1 switch should shut off all of the 12 volt power to the chassis (automotive section of the MH) and the other should shut off all of the 12 volt power to the coach (camper section of the MH).

The switch turns off battery power to the house. If your plugged in to 120 AC, the converter will power the house, just not charge the battery.

Thanks for all your replies. Absolutely correct! When I disconnected the shore power and turned off the disconnects the entire coach was "off". I did not realize that the charger would power the house with the disconnects off, but it makes perfect sense. All is good.
