Wind Turbine

I searched but didn’t see anything about using a wind turbine instead of or to supplement their solar panels. We get a lot of wind in the desert. It would also continue charging after dark. Has anyone done this?

You might want to research this on some of the boating forums, especially sailboat cruising. The use of such things is more common there than in the RV community.

Here's a start:

I imagine you could fashion some sort of mechanism to lower it for travel. This video is self explanatory.

From talking to sailors I hear that a) they don’t generate that much power and b) they’re noisy. Most I know use solar and maybe add wind as a extra little bit of power generation.
