Angry Why no inverter power at outside entertainment center?

Winnebago put an inverter in my Adventurer to run the front TV,front satellite box, bedroom TV but did not wire it into the outside TV electrical outlet? Anyone ever re-wired this outlet to function on the inverter?
Just wondering.

I have not done that, but a good source of info would be to lookup your specific wiring diagram from Winnebago and determine if you can add the circuit. The diagram would be the place to start.

Thanks for the reply

Yes that was my next step. I do have the wiring schematic and will be researching it. I was hoping however that someone may have already attempted this mod to give some feedback.

On our 2005, the electrical outlet (on the inverter) is in the basement compartment adjacent to the compartment with the outside TV. Just used a hole saw and a wiring grommet to solve the problem. "Why is it not in the same compartment?" Can't tell ya. \ken

Tomtall, if you have the external entertainment center you can plug a small inverter in that cigar lighter socket.

Grant

Yes I do have a cigar lighter. That sounds like a good solution rather than tearing into the main wiring system. Thanks!

Fun stuff. I was wondering the same thing only with regard to the outlets next to the bed... CPAP machines need power! I have an 800 watt inverter that I got a while back, but must admit I did not think to use a cigar lighter output for it.

About the only thing you might want to worry about with the inverter is its capacity. In my 2003, it's only a 5amp circuit with a 200 or 300 watt inverter (I forget exactly what it is).
