Water Heater - Where is the Switch!?!?!?!?

2014 Itasca Sunstar

Model # on the water heater indicates that it is a 6-gal electric model.

That's fine, but how the heck do I switch it to electric (if needed). Manual says the switch is on back of the heater - I'm not about to reach around it, sight unseen. Nothing inside (that I've been unable to find thus far).

Can I set it to auto mode, ala the fridge?

HELP!

What IS the make/model of your water heater?

BTW, I don't think any propane/electric WHs have an auto mode setting.

Use a flashlight and a small mirror.

The electric switch for the water heater on my 2013 Sunstar 27N is located just above the tank level switches.

The Itasca brochure shows the 2014 uses WGO's standard OnePlace Systems Center. The electric water heater switch should be a red rocker switch just above the panel with the tank level indicators, gas HWH switch and generator start switch. If the switch doesn't light when ON, the 12v to that lamp may be off or the lamp may be burned out.

BTW, it's not an either/or situation. When connected to shore power, you can heat water with both gas and electric to greatly reduce the time necessary.

zooky, the 110VAC wiring drawing for the 2014 26HE does not show a breaker or wire for a electric water heater.

ZOOKY please fill out your Signature with your MH information so that we may better help you.
As others have stated, there should be a Water Heater Switch in the One Place Panel area. If there isn't then take a look outside. The Water Heater access panel, remove it and look in there and see if there is an AC switch for the Water Heater.

Don't know if this is any help, but in our 2000 Win. Adventurer our heater switch is behind the panel lid just above the Microwave. Looks like a regular wall switch.

Well we are shooting in the dark until to OP tells us what model his coach is. The brochure reads:
6-gallon LP water heater w/electronic ignition
(26HE, 31KE)
6-gallon 110V/LP water heater w/motoraid
(27N, 30T, 35B, 35F)
And the electrical drawing confirm this.
WBGO may have installed a 110/LP water heater because they were out of the LP only model.

There seem to be a lot of drive-by postings. I'm fairly new to this forum but I would think it's common courtesy to check back in a day or two. But, then again, as my advisor told me in grad school, "There's no such thing as common sense." His advice might also apply to common courtesy.

Zooky, the OP, might NOT have a 120VAC/propane water heater, (mine is "propane only").

Until/unless he is considerate enough to tell us the make/model of his water heater we are all WASTING OUR TIME trying to help him.

I TRULY apologize for not having filled in my signature. Hopefully I have fixed that.

Class A's are brand new & forums to me. Thank you for your patience with me and the MANY responses to my question(s).

I have carefully pulled apart the model # of my water heater (it's an ATWOOD) and can see that it really isn't a combo (G & E) after all. Geesh, I read in the docs that if it ended with an E *it does* it was a combo unit. Yet, when I pull apart the model # it isn't! It's not nice to make an old "person" like me work so hard. I gave up techy work when I retired (many moons ago).

Again, to everyone that tried to help me - THANK YOU!
