Three Trojan SCS225 Batteries in Adventurer 38G

Has anyone put three Trojan SCS225 30 batteries in an Adventurer. I measure 14" on the battery pan. Trojan lists them as 13 15/16" long. They should fit, but you never really know until you try.

If those are 6 volt, you will have to do an even number. There won't work together very well.

In July I installed 2 Lifeline's. Here is a link to their info: Lifeline GPL-27T Deep Cycle AGM Battery
They fit just fine, look nice an clean...and I have no maintenance issues or worries. Worth it!

I don't think it will be a problem for you as the batt measurements should include the edge trim at the top rather than the smaller base.
Excellent choice IMO!

Thanks for the encouragement, I was thinking the same thing. If they fit, I plan on relocating the chassis battery and adding a fourth SCS225 for 520 amp/hrs.

Another option:

If your battery tray is the same size as my 02 Journeys I modified it to accommodate 4 each golf cart batteries by increasing the width approximately 1".
I cut the tray in half, after assuring the new width I bolted 2 each 1/4 thick X 1" wide X 14" long under each lip used to pull the tray out in front and the similar one in the back. I then slotted the existing bolt holes to allow aligning the tray bolt down holes in the chassis. Needless to say you must assure enough clearance on each side. Also cut approximately 3/8 " off the angle iron above the tray to allow the additional height of the GC batteries. Will try to attach pics. The aluminum bracket on the bottom is to allow the nylon hold down strip.

We added 4 6 volt GC batteries under the main bed. Used marine battery sealed cases vented through the floor. Do not forget to install a 50 amp circut breaker from the batteries to the main feed line.

I don't think I would want batteries under my bed. Too much chance of fire, also must make for a long cable run. In my case 50 amps wouldn't be enough. I have a 250 amp fuse. I also use 2/0 cable.

That is why they are sealed and vented to the outside world. And they are wired right to the main fuse panel that sits under the bed next to them.
