Solar Panel

2001 Journey - 10 w, broken glass and not working. Replacements by part number no longer available. How are you handling replacing solar panels?

Harbor Freight has a 15w panel. Here is the 15w solar manual. Here is link to buy.

At 10 watts, why bother? I'm not even sure that's enough to keep the batteries from self discharging.

Watch the shipping on SunElec. In many cases the shipping will equalize the $'s per watt.

Not sure what this means. We shipped 2-45 lb panels from PHX to San Antonio for $115. That is to a local depot and I'll pick them up from there. It was $250 to our door.

For bulk shipping this is pretty much the norm....and if you expect them to put them in your garage...think again.

I consider $250 shipping to be excessive. That's my point.

It's my latest pet peeve. Cheap price, expensive shipping and handling. It seems like a bait and switch to me. I know it's just to show up on the google shopping list as the lowest price. They then make up the difference in shipping and handling. In reality, the end price is the same to the buyer...or sometimes even more expensive.
