Tried the dimmer switch 10 times now. Headlights on/off,
motor on/off, generator on/off, bypassed the switch on the
back of the light. Nothing gives me 12vdc at the light.
Dimmer works to dim the dash lights, but the detent seems
to do nothing.
Just a rethink on the non op lamp. The button switch in the door jamb can be corroded a little from lack of use, snap it in and out to reactivate, give it a try
