50 amp service is 50 at 240 volts. (like 100 amps at 120).
You get (should get) two feeds of 120 volts each from the shore power pedestal.
I suspect one is missing, loose wire or bad breaker fairly common.
If you know that the pedestal is good then possibly your transfer switch.

How are you determining that you are only getting 30 amps?

I shut off the breaker to the W/D after I took it out as I thought it would be prudent to do so. It turns out that the power management system didn't think so and only showed 30 amps. I turned the breaker back on and all was good. Do you have any breakers turned off in your panel?

The very FIRST thing you should ALWAYS do is to check the park pedestal to make sure that it has been wired correctly.
The only way to do that is with a VOM meter or a Power/Pedestal Tester.
I use a custom made Power/Pedestal Tester before settling into ANY site.
Attached is a sheet that explains what type of readings you should have at the 50 amp outlet on the pedestal.
Once that has been checked and proven OK then you can move on to other possible places of concern.
Such as the power cord, your automatic transfer switch, etc.
One step at a time until you find the problem.

The "one place" indicator is probably defective. I had a 2001 Journey that did the same. I recall an old post on what component in the read out fails- I believe a resistor. But no worries, as the function is not affected.

Lake11969, sounds like the same problem I had. It only read 30 Amps even connected to a known 50 Amp source. If you feel comfortable measure the output side of the main breakers it will be either 220 volts across the breakers or 110 to neutral. If this is ok then your control board has gone bad. contact M & M Audio at 419-965-2662 and give them the board info part and model number. Mine was $226 and delivered in just a couple of days. Shut the power off and connect it the same way the original was. I put wire markers on to make it easier.
Any questions let me know,
RAYDAR

I'm guessing you ARE getting 50A service but have a problem with your power management panel only reporting 30A.
You can check with a volt meter testing in your on-board panel, testing for 240V across the 2 legs of the panel in the motorhome.

Well, it appears that we have "lost" another OP that has posted a problem with lots of help and solutions but then disappeared.
Happens too often on this forum.
Unsubscribe and off to some other problem where hopefully the OP will stick around to at least post the outcome.

Did you confirm that ALL of the breakers are on? If the right (or wrong!) breaker is shut off it will cause the EMS to fail to detect the presence of 50A service and will report it as 30A.
