onan 5500 shut down after 20 minutes of A/C

when i run the a/c and have the breaker for 2nd compressor on ....after 20 minutes or so the generator shuts off and reads fault 41...anyone have similar problems.

about 150 hours on it and 2 years old. did maintenace on all filters about a month ago.

I have the Cummins-Onan website bookmarked on my regular pc but not on this one. Should be a simple Google search and then you can drill down to find the Operator's Manual for your gen-set. You will need the Model and Spec Numbers to get the right one.

i have the service manual for the gen set it is a rotor fault...but the a/c seems like it is the problem..2nd compressor

FYI my generator just needed to be run and broken in...haven't run it in a while...

Does it only shut down when yo try to run the second compressor? Can you run the second compressor on shore power?

Yes it runs on shore power no problems..
