I was servicing my 3 batts 2 days ago; warm temps, calm winds. The 2 house batts were bubbling actively. The LP detector went off. I muted it, finished servicing batts, closed up the batt compartment. LP detector did not go off again. It's my second detector; first one was defective (kept sounding for no reason).

I had a similar problem with my LP alarm. Couldn't trace the problem until I recently changed my house batteries. Problem solved. The old batteries were failing and were emitting gas while being charged. Strangely my CO alarm was also going off.
