Engine battery

I still wonder why the idea of using capacitors for the cranking function has not caught on specially for large diesel motors. Use a bank of caps with a battery serving as the deep reserve tank.

OOPS! Bad math on my part.
Six 6V batteries at 280AH each would be a total of 840AH, not 1680AH. Each pair of 6V batteries, wired in series, makes a single 12V battery of 280AH.

Batteries in series add the voltage, but the AH does not add.
