Nope, no pin hole. This was the bedroom radio/cd/alarm. After the strike it had all the front panel lights on, but no display, and would not turn off or on. We got the same model as a replacement ...interesting that the old one was totally dark when turned off, but the new one otherwise identical has a muted clock display when off.
