I have a 99 Itasca Sunflyer and was trying to plug the DVD player into the same outlet as the front TV so that passengers can watch a movie while underway without running the generator. There is an outlet in the passenger side upper storage bay but this is not where the TV is plugged in to.

Can anyone tell me where the front TV is plugged so that I can also plug in the DVD?

Check behind the TV for receptacle.

With the inverter on, you should have a hot recepticle close by in the front of the coach..

Yep ...as Ichn said, all of the plugs overhead in the front should be active just like the TV plug when the inverter is on. You likely cannot get to the plug where the TV is without removing some of the cabinet facing ...and if you do, there probably won't be a free receptical.

Mach428, .....and if you could get to the TV plug you would most likely find that it is dead when the motorhome is running. RVIA code states that any TV that can be seen from the driver's seat can not be working when the MH is running.

Just unplug the 12 volt plug to that receptical, and walla....the TV plug works while driving!

My front TV works while the engine is running, but I've checked the receptacle that the DVD is plugged in to, and it's not active unless I'm connected to shore power - or the genset is running. So, the TV is plugged into a separate outlet someplace behind the TV.

I want to be able to (allow passengers to) watch a DVD while traveling without running the genset.
