I just watched my power management system while my A/C started up. The starting amps for the first compressor was 18A, dropping to 13A and then to 10A and eventually down to 8A. I'm thinking if both compressors were working, I'd get a starting surge for #1 to 18A, a drop to 8 - 10A, then a surge for #2 (to the high 20s?), followed by a steady 16 - 20A.

That's really good. Our 13,500 BTU Coleman typically draws 12-13A when running. I've never seen less than 11A.
