Happened to be reading my Horizon manual recently and I saw a reference to a ground fault AC outlet at the bathroom sink. I don't think I have noticed one GFCI AC outlet in the entire coach.

I was first thinking that RVs were excempt from the National Electrical Code, but then I see the manual reference about them. What gives?

Hello John I thought the same thing till I lost power to part of the coach one day, went crazy looking for the problem till I found the GFI plug in the kitchen(40kd), back of the little counter next to the kitchen slide. Its a dark brown plug like all the rest and is hard to see what it is. Turned out that the GFI plug acually went bad so I had to by pass it till I got to the factory for them to replace it. Also bought a spare

Check your power distribution box as well. I have a couple of GFCI circuit breakers in there.

We have a 2001 Adventurer 32V with 2 GFCI outlets. One is in the kitchen by the entry stairs and the second is in the bathroom near the sink. We also bought the 50 amp service option. The second GFCI outlet may be part of the package.

John,

Check the outlet next to the dresser in the bedroom, on the left side.

My '04 has three GFI outlets at various places in the coach (one for each 15 amp A/C circuit). One in bath, one down by floor of dinette, and last one near main coach door steps.

Have three kitchen, bath, and at inverter location. The reset button is white, hard to see on all white outlet. Newmar always had in bath and kitchen locations, 3 coachs I have had. "007"

Thanks guys - I found one immediately left of the sink under the counter top, and in the bedroom on the left side of the dresser (thanks resqguy for this location!) The reset/test buttons are very hard to spot on the bark brown outlets.

A nice touch from Winnie would be a little cardboard plug-in on the GFCI bringing attention to it and telling which outlets are downstream.

It is amazing that I am still discovering things about the coach after six months!
