http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/1998/126818.pdf Sheet 8 of 25 shows the location of the 4x4 box, left side of diagram under bedroom. Disconnect the wires in there and measure each to ground with a VOM. You have a short some place on the generator feed. Worst case, internal to the generator.

It's also conceivable that the breaker on the generator has gone bad.
