Fuzzy TV picture
When hooked up to RV park cable, my TVs' pictures are very fuzzy. I've tried 3 different cables from the box to the coach-results the same. I'm thinking there is a bad connection somewhere in the coach. Where would you start looking?

Before you start taking anything apart I recommend you try something first. Purchase a inexpensive signal amplifier or borrow one from a friend and install it the line running from the park cable to your connection in your coach and see if it improves the picture.
Here is my story. I have an attached garage for my RV with a cable connection in the garage for myself and also a connection for a guest parked in front of my garage when needed. I have used it on 3 different coaches and it always supplied a great picture. A couple of years ago I had a friend connect to my guest connection and they told me my signal was week. I thought it was their coach that was the problem. Last summer I purchased my current coach and I found I had a weak signal. I replaced all my RG59U cable going out to the garage with RG6U thinking the HD cable would solve my problem as at was over 100' in length. After all the work nothing improved. I went to our local Fleet Farm store and purchased an amplifier and installed it in the line going out to the garage and I now have almost a perfect picture.

Good advice from Petro. I carry a Radio Shack cheap cable TV amplifier with me for exactly this problem.
Another (maybe) easy test would be to run the park cable directly from the pedestal to the back of the TV (assuming you can get easy access to the back of the TV). If the signal is good, then start looking in the coach. If the signal is still poor, then it's the cable TV signal strength at the source.

Have you hooked up at other parks and had this problem? If not, I would be talking to the owners of the park and let them check the source. You may not have a problem in your RV.

If you have the 12v booster on for over-the-air TV, that will mess with your cable TV signal.

Had a neighbor with the same complaint.. Tracked down the Antenna switch (Booster switch) and turned it to off, .. The picture was suddenly so sharp you could cut yourself on it.

Bot booster today. Picture is much, much better. Don't know why I didn't think of this solution myself: had to use one in our previous house. Just getting forgetful in my old age I guess.

This may be a moot point, but with park provided cable TV, I will run the setup on the menu on the TV for "channel search" and it goes thru and finds all the available channels and locks them in. I have found in the past, that after doing this, the channels come in nicely. Just a thought.

I installed between the cable input and the park cable box. The booster does need 110 so needed a short extension cord also.
