Fuse panels

Wondering if anyone knows the location of the fuse /circuit breaker for the running lights on a Itasca Suncruiser 2015. I don't have any books on the subject. The brown running lights wire (4-wire setup) from the MH doesn't have any power and therefore doesn't activate the running lights on my towed vehicle --1965 beetle.

I found the box but how do I get it open I was able to pull out some kind of holding mechanism on the right but still couldn't open without forcing.

Even though I had seen the pull label, and because of the filter (?) box being in the way, I hadn't noticed the small tab. I got the box open and assuming F15 in your post meant the #15 fuse I checked it and it was ok. I must have a different issue with the running lights. Thanks much for your help.

1sttimer There is also a relay in the trailer parking light circuit. It is in the Aux relay box just to left of the fuse box. See drawing below.

Are ALL your running lights out, or just at the trailer connector?


I'd have to look how Winnebago wired the trailer connector. It may or may now be wired as Ford intended.

I can read the trailer tow relay in the drawing but not much else. I'll have a look in the morning. Is there a way test the relay or do I have to just replace it? Also, is the relay marked as trailer tow?

All of the MH lights work. In the 4-wire, when hooked to the MH but not the tow, the red and green wires have power but not the brown (running lights wire). When hooked up to the tow the same is true - no tow running lights.

Grant knows his stuff when it comes to Ford chassis info. Here's some info to add to what he's already given you.

Here's a link to the 2015 Ford Body Builders Layout Book pages for the F53 motorhome chassis. The fuse and relay information is on the last two pages. The "TT PARK LAMPS" relay is number 8 in the Auxiliary Relay Box.

1) You should hear it click when someone inside the coach turns the parking lights on and off

2) The drawing shows numbers on the relay socket. You can check voltages with a voltmeter:
14 - Input signal from parking light switch (activates the relay)
57 - Ground
1105 - 12V from fuse F15 ("hot at all times" if fuse F15 is intact and in place)
962 - Output to rear of coach

If the relay and its socket check out fine, then the problem is between the Auxiliary Relay Box and the pin on the trailer connector. The most probable cause is in the trailer connector itself (usually a loose or corroded connection). On rare occasions people have found something broken between the Box and connector.

Thanks Mark. We leave home on Monday but if I have time I'll try to look into all that tomorrow. I will have a laptop with me on the trip so I can maybe continue this on the road. If it's only the running lights, which it seems to be, I'm not too worried about it for now. I will want to get it corrected though.
