Electric Problem

2004 Winnebago sunrise 36m W22. With aux. battery off all plug outlets work micro wave works, no lights no frig. generator wont turn over. Flip aux battery switch on got every thing. But battery will not charge from shore power. Any body had a problem like this.? All breakers are ok. house fuse panel looks good. dash fuses seem good. Is there a reset button somewhere that I'm not finding/?

Did you locate and test all the GFI outlets? Sometimes they're a little hard to find. That's solved similar problems for me more than once!

GFI is ok all outlets work with aux. switch on or off

It sounds as if the converter is not working.. When the converter is charging the house batteries you will measure about 13.5 Vdc at the batteries.

You do need to locate the converter. Based on looking at the schematic it appears you have a converter with a couple of fuses on the face of it.

You have 2 battery systems. One is your coach or house batteries, they should be getting charged when you're plugged into shore power. The other system is your chassis battery. Your chassis battery would not get charged from shore power. There are aftermarket devices you can buy to charge the chassis battery while on shore power.
You did not specify which batteries are not getting charged, so you need to come back with more information.

You have an inverter.. Likely an inverter/charger.. The Charger module is either deffective or turned off by you by accident.

I have such a device,, However It is aftermarket,, the original converter is still in place.. Because I like the "Programming" better on the original (Progressive Dynamics 9180 with wizard) I turn off my Inverter's charger module. Most of the time.. (Long story the 9180 is a plug in model,,,sometimes it is not plugged in).

Let's assume coach batteries since he has no 12v with batteries off. Which means converter is not putting out 12v and therefore not charging coach batteries.

Just talked to dealer again and found a blown fuse all is good now

O.K. what I thought was a cure was not it went out again. Started cen. checked battery 12.5 had helper shut off cen. no change put in new converter which we found under drawer under oven. start cen battery takling 14.5. thanks for the advice the fuse I thought helped in a compartment behind the battery box.
