Dome

I recently purchased a 2002 Adventurer 32V. It has a satellite dish that cranks up, but it also has a dome right behind it. I assume that’s another satellite dish. Is that right? I don’t have a receiver for either of them. What would I need to make them work?

Assuming that one of them is recent - probably the dome, but who knows - you'd need to know if it's setup for Dish or DirecTV. And you'd need an account and a current receiver.

A 17 year old SAT Dish is probably out of date.

I have an 18 yo Trav'ler satellite auto search dish using DTV and it's worked fine now for 3 years.

What I did when I first bought this RV, since there wasn't any receiver with mine either, was to look on the dish as it was trying to extend...it'll do that w/o a receiver, and yours you'd just crank up. And there in the middle of the dish, is the name of the provider. DTV, Dish, or that Canadian outfit. Blue something.

Armed with that info, I called up DTV and had a receiver in my hands in 2 days.

For your other dome, I'd suspect there's something on the dome itself that will identify the satellite outfit. Send some young kid up there to find it.

More than likely the Dome is the newer version, one that does not need to be pointed to the sat. You will need to fined the model number etc. call dish or direct whos ever it is and they will take care of the rest.

Post a pic of the dome if you can. That will help.

Or I can post a couple to choose from.
