Dimensions Inverter Question

Just got back from a nice 10 day trip up north around Lake Tahoe. My new 6 volt battery setup seems to work great. Does anyone know at what DC voltage will my inverter cease to produce 110 volts AC?

Thanks, Sammie

usually about 11v. your batteries will not last long if you discharge them below 50%, about 12-12.2v.

When the battery voltage reaches a certain threshold an error message will be displayed: Inverter Low Batt Batt xx.x volts.

Then next: Inverter off - Low Battery.

I was not able to find the Low Battery threshold voltage.

Page 4 of the manual, right side, about 1/4 way down.

Jeff, thanks! I found it in both my owners manuals: The original WIN=12X20B3RT dated September 2003 on the Specifications page 6 and WIN12X20B3R1T, dated January 2007 on the specifications page 4. The reason I have two manuals is because I had to have my Dimensions rebuilt in January of 2008 and in the rebuilding they upgraded it to the later model which included the remote panel.

I am not sure about the design differences of the internal gizzards, but the WIN-12X20B3R1T model has three new trouble shooting screens: 1. "Charger - off Batt hight temp" 2. "Charger - off check Batt probe 3. Chgr - off AC bad inverter off."

Another thing I noticed different is that the charging time periods are different. At less then 400 amps the wet cells Acceptance went from 3 hrs to 2 hrs; Conditioning from 6 hrs to 3 hrs. And the conditioning cycle went from 5 to 10.

Thanks Sammie for bringing this to our attention. I don't use my inverter much so its helpful to be reminded how it works.
