We have city water that comes from Toledo. We were in the UP when the water scare happened, "and noticed the squealing". We are still not drinking the water even tho they say it's safe. I have a filter that I use before water enters the coach. Yes I still have to clean the screens at the faucet occasionally. We have spent our winters in Fla, Az and Tx, While wintering I change my filter every two months. Just looked at the last valve I replaced and it doesn't seem to have much mineral build up. Like I said I'm going to wait till the water flow stops before changing. Maybe I was being to quick to condemn .
