Charging multiple batteries at one time
I have a 2009 Journey with inverter/charger. Question is; can I just plug a 110 power cord into my 50 amp cord using a pig tail adapter 50/110 and have both battery banks the house and engine charged at the same time?

Should be okay, but know this:
Your house circuit breaker is most likely 15A. So if you know of a 20A wall receptacle you can reach then you should use that one.
Your extension cord is light duty; and your inverter/charger will max out your 15A current, so you should not run any other electrical appliances on the same line, and at the same time, as the extension cord you run to your RV.
...And don't be surprised if your house breaker trips immediately... although most will hold... for an hour or more. TBD.
If you have a 12-gauge extension cord you would be much better off than a 14-gauge. (Try what you have. You will know soon enough.) ...DON'T use a light weight lamp extension cord!!!
... And the shorter and "fatter" the extension cord the better!
Hope this info makes you feel more comfortable.

kimenker-
If your coach has the Dimensions inverter and control panel (shown on page 6-4 of your coach's owner's manual- link here), then you can set the amount of charging current to match what you can deliver through the shore cord. According to the picture, you use the "CHARGER DRAW" button on the lower-right of the control panel to set that.
If the inverter and control panel has been replaced with a different model, it is likely there is a similar maximum charging current set function on that.

l1v3fr33ord1; I've pushed the two buttons turning off the coach batteries, pretty sure they should be on to operate the Dimensions inverter and control panel? I understand and will set the voltage after work today, but should I leave the battery buttons in the "on" position while the 110 power cord is plugged into the 50 amp cord?

That's OK.
Also, with regard to the gauge of your extension cord, check this out:

If this going to be a long term arrangement I'd try to get a dedicated 20 A circuit installed just for the RV. And I'd only use a 12ga extension cord.

Good advise, I do have it connected to a dedicated circuit, I just need to get a heavier extension cord 12 gauge. I put the chew engine batteries on a trickle charger maintenance type, and plug the coach into the pigtail and into a 110 20 amp circuit to charge the four coach batteries. What do you think?

I have a 09 Journey. It has a Trik-L-Start fom the factory that diverts a small portion of the house battery charge to the chassis batteries. This negates the need to charge the chassis batteries separately as long as you charge the house batteries. You should have 4 group 31 house batteries and two chassis batteries. The house battery switch needs to be on to charge them but the chassis battery switch can be turned off and will be charged thru the Trik-L-Start.
