Battery Fill - 2010 Itasca Elipse

I have been unable to get the battery tray to slide out enough to check and fill the back two house batteries on my 2010 Itasca Ellipse 42AD. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem on my 05 Itasca Horizon. I have to use a mirror to see in the battery fill holes on the back two batteries and use a turkey baster type device to fill the battery.

Use a mirror? ...my tray comes out far enough that I can get in there and check with a flashlight...

I couldn't reach the back 2 batteries in my battery tray either. I installed a flow rite remote battery fill system on my house batteries that I got from Camping World. It works very well and has helped me make sure my batteries are never dry.

My cables bound up and caused same issue...was able to reach back and adjust them so slide would work completely.

had the same issue with a 2010 tour, I disconnected the strap on the door to allow it to open all the way and had full access to it.

I have a very low-tech way to check the rear batteries in my '08 Tour. I cut a short piece of small diameter flexible clear rubber hose. I push one end down into each cell until it touches the plates, then plug the other end with my finger and lift it out. The amount in the hose shows me how much water is covering the plates. Practice in the batteries you can see into, and even mark the hose with a felt pen when you have determined the perfect depth. Like LK23, I use a turkey baster to refill them.
