Backup lights 2401RG Minnie

I recently purchased a 2401RG Minnie. It drives me nuts that I don’t have any backup lights built into the taillight assembly.

I’m thinking about replacing them with taillights with backup lights. Does anyone know if Winnabego ran backup wiring? Or will I have to run new wire?

Are you saying that you have ZERO back up lights from the factory? To me, that's incredibly odd. I think just about every vehicle on the planet comes with backup lights. But, if yours doesn't, to me it would be no big deal to add them. If you look at Amazon, you'll find hundreds of LED lights that can be added to the rear bumpers and switched on when the trans is put into reverse.

The Minnie is a travel trailer. However I did dive in and found no reverse wires in rear of trailer. I will probably wire one in at the tongue and run it to rear bumper.

When doing the trailer, I never worried as much about backup lights as I assigned the wife to protect me back there--even if she had to carry a flashlight!
I'm probably out of touch but do some trailers have backup lights?

My last trailer did, and I added them to my boat trailer. I find it helps a lot at night.

Wish mine did. I found the wiring under the cabinet, but no extra wire for a backup light. Looks like I’ll have to run one from the hitch then run it up next to the low-point drain.
